The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) guidelines and revised health and safety responsibility are now forcing companies to re-evaluate their Key-Holding arrangements. These new regulations make it difficult for you to expect your staff to attend high risk call-outs. A “Duty of Care” places stringent requirements upon you, the employer, to protect your employees. The ACPO guidelines for police attendance at alarm activations reduces allowable false alarms to just one over a 12 month period, after this, Police response is withdrawn and reinstated only when a secondary verification system has been installed. Companies must have two key-Holders who can reach the premises within 20 minutes. General Security can be on the site in a matter of minutes reacting immediately to call outs, protecting your business and staff.
Alarm Response
General Security Response Units are on standby 24 hours a day. As nominated key-holders for your alarm system we can respond to any emergency.
The Response Units will inspect the premises and liaise with the emergency services if necessary. In the event of an incident, we will react in accordance with your own escalation procedure, arrange and manage emergency contractor works and only leave when the alarm has been reset and the property secured.
Mobile Patrol
Our Hi-Visibility Mobile Patrol vehicle visits provide a cost effective and reliable security solution.
When your premises are not occupied, they are at their most vulnerable.
Our Mobile Patrol Officers will make random regular visits to inspect premises for signs of potential trespass and damage. These inspections can be internal, external or both.
Distinctive Warning boards on the exterior of the building coupled with random patrols can be an effective deterrent to would be vandals and intruders.
Lock-ups/Unlock
General Security Patrol teams will undertake a full internal check ensuring windows and doors are secured, ensuring lights and other machinery are turned off to save power and they will only leave when the alarm has been set and the property secured.
This service could be as little as locking up: premises, local parks, car park barriers or other.
The Patrol teams can unlock your premises in the morning.
Vacant Premise Inspections
Our teams can visit empty/unoccupied premises on behalf of the owners or agents and make regular and random basic checks to ensure the buildings condition is maintained and its security not compromised.
Distinctive Warning boards on the exterior of the building are an effective deterrent.
Our Security
All General Security Personnel are screened in Accordance with BS7858.
All keys are Stored in accordance with BS7499 and are kept in secure key storage.
All our security officers are trained in responding to potential burglaries. For the more security sensitive situations, our trained and accredited Dog Handlers will inspect and liaise with the police if necessary.
Our Vehicles are fitted with the latest technology in GPS tracking, this means we know exactly where our mobile patrol vehicles are at all times, providing our clients with a fast effective response security services.
